Alameda Island Kids Before and After School Program is a state licensed child care program specifically designed for youth grades Kindergarten through 5th to develop social skills, build confidence and spark curiosity. Our programs provide onsite age-appropriate daily activities through arts and science, organized games, team sports and outdoor play, social emotional learning and homework.
AIK maintains high safety standards while adhering to the following required organizational and Community Care Licensing regulations:
- School-age ratio of 14 students to 1 staff
- Highly trained staff with Early Childcare Education (ECE) Credentials & Units
- 10 year plus staff retention
AIK provides before and after school program options on a monthly (Monday to Friday) basis.
AIK does NOT provide part time program options.

HOW TO MAKE CHANGES TO MY CURRENT ENROLLMENT STATUS: To make changes to your current AIK enrollment, including cancellations, please submit the AIK Cancel/Change Form. Please note, that all cancellations require a 30-day notice.
AIK CLOSURE DAYS FOR CURRENT PARTICIPANTS: Meyers Camp is available during select school breaks and or holidays.

AIK utilizes Procare Solutions for its online registration process. Once your registration is submitted your student will be placed on the waitlist. Please note – Students are then enrolled in the program on a space-availability basis in the order and category registrations are received. Please note that incoming Transitional Kindergarten, incoming Kindergarten and returning families will be prioritized before new enrollments are made.
Things to Remember:
- If registration is submitted incorrectly it will be placed on the waitlist.
- AIK does NOT provide part-time program options.
- Enrollment DOES NOT roll over from year to year.
- All youth must be enrolled in school with AUSD prior to enrollment in AIK programs (Bay Farm, Earhart, Edison, Franklin or Otis)
- Registration does not guarantee enrollment.
In order to complete your registration, the $50 Enrollment Fee (Non-Refundable) is due.
You will be notified of your registration status by email. Please allow up to 5 to 7 business days for an update. Once enrolled, families will be able to access their account and pay all fees at www.MyProcare.com.
Monthly Fee Invoices will be shared on August 1st and are due on or before August 14th. The first day of the program will start on the first day of school, August 15th.

- Download and complete the following required 2024-25 Student Licensing Form Packet
- Submit the 2024-25 Student Licensing Packet to the Site Director at your future AIK Program Location (1 per child/student)
- Download the 2024-25 AIK Parent and Caregiver Handbook for your review
- Download the 2024-25 AIK Information Sheet (with rates) for your review
- Download the 2024-25 AIK Fee Schedule for your review
RE-REGISTRATION PROCESS
(for families who are currently enrolled, waitlisted, withdrew during the 23-24 program year or transferred)
- Log into your MyProcare Account and complete the re-registration process
- Download and complete the following required 2024-25 Student Emergency and Health Form
- Submit the 2024-25 Student Emergency and Health Form to your Site Director (1 per child/student)
- Download the 2024-25 AIK Parent and Caregiver Handbook for your review
- Download the 2024-25 AIK Information Sheet (with rates) for your review
- Download the 2024-25 AIK Fee Schedule for your review
