OVERVIEW OF THE GIRLS INCORPORATED DONOR PRIVACY POLICY
Girls Incorporated adheres to the standards of ethics laid out in the Association of Fundraising Professionals “Donor Bill of Rights”:
- To be informed of the organization’s mission, of the way the organization intends to use donated resources, and of its capacity to use donations effectively for their intended purposes.
- To be informed of the identity of those serving on the organization’s governing board, and to expect the board to exercise prudent judgment in its stewardship responsibilities.
- To have access to the organization’s most recent financial statements.
- To be assured their gifts will be used for the purposes for which they were given.
- To receive appropriate acknowledgement and recognition.
- To be assured that information about their donation is handled with respect and with confidentiality to the extent provided by law.
- To expect that all relationships with individuals representing organizations of interest to the donor will be professional in nature.
- To be informed whether those seeking donations are volunteers, employees of the organization or hired solicitors.
- To have the opportunity for their names to be deleted from mailing lists that an organization may intend to share. As well, Girls Incorporated will not sell donor information to any third-party entity, nor share donor information with outside parties without the express consent of the donor.
- To feel free to ask questions when making a donation and to receive prompt, truthful and forthright answers.
OVERVIEW OF THE GIRLS INCORPORATED WEBSITE PRIVACY POLICY
This Privacy Policy applies to information collected online when visiting our website and governs online data collection and usage at the Girls Incorporated site.
- You do not have to provide personal information to visit and enjoy many features of our site. Parents may review and request that we update or delete their child’s information by sending a signed request, including their e-mail address, the child’s e-mail address, birth date, and first name, to our Content Manager at the address below.

Girls Incorporated and the server which makes this site available worldwide is located in the United States. All matters relating to this site are governed by the laws of the State of New York in the United States. Girls Incorporated of the Island City’s site is governed by the laws of the state of California. Any information you provide will be transferred to the U.S. By visiting this site and submitting information you authorize this transfer.
