What an amazing evening we had at our 2024 Women Who Dare Gala. In addition to honoring our Women Who Dare, we celebrated our 60th anniversary of serving the Alameda community.
The Women Who Dare Awards Event is an annual event held by Girls Inc. of the Island City to recognize women and girls who are making a difference. Each year, we celebrate the strides women have made in a particular field, and we inspire girls in our Best Foot Forward Program to reach for equality and success. We also raise awareness in the community about the important work that still needs to be done to empower girls.
We are beyond grateful to everyone who participated in so many ways to make this special evening a success: our extraordinary Women Who Dare awardees, the Best Foot Forward girls, sponsors, silent auction and raffle donors, in-kind supporters, and everyone who supported this amazing night.
