Volunteering

Come volunteer at Girls Inc. of the Island City!!

Girls Inc. could not operate without the hundreds of hours of volunteer service that we receive every year from dedicated individuals like you. Come help us further our mission of inspiring all girls to be strong, smart, and bold(SM).

There are many opportunities for people who want to volunteer their time at Girls Inc. of the Island City, including chances to serve as a tutor, guest speaker, intern, artist, and much more. And, if you have a special talent or skill, come to us with your ideas! We ask that all of our on-going volunteers make a commitment of at least one “Quarter,” which is about three months. This does not apply to one-time projects, such as work parties, mailing parties, or special events.

Please view the various volunteer opportunities we have available. We are dedicated to placing our volunteers in a job that is a good match for you and for us. To find out more, read our Fall 2007 Volunteer Newsletter!

If you feel like you would make a good match for us, please complete our volunteer application [pdf 27kb] and mail or fax it back to us at (510) 521-4417. We will then contact you for an interview.
