Girls Incorporated of the Island City and Alameda Parks and Recreation co-hosted the 7th Annual Mardi Gras Masquerade Party (formerly the Father/Daughter Valentine’s Party) for girls in kindergarten through 5th grade and their fathers, or other favorite male role model, on Feb. 8, 2008.

The popular event was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the special relationship between daughters and fathers or other favorite male role models. It featured music, dancing, special led dances, light refreshments, arts and crafts, and a special memento for the girls.
