PROGRAM ASSISTANT
ORGANIZATION
Girls Incorporated of the Island City is a local affiliate of a national nonprofit organization dedicated to inspiring all girls to be strong, smart, and boldsm. Since it’s founding in 1964, Girls Inc. of the Island City has provided the only youth development services just for girls in Alameda. We recognize that gender stereotyping still limits girls’ potential.
At Girls Incorporated, girls are challenged to explore science, math and computers; examine how money is earned and invested; and to ask questions about themselves and the world in which they live.
